We first saw Dr Yuen when are daughter was 2 weeks old. He explained in detail what her problems were and made sure we understood them.
We complete faith in Dr Yuen and he is brilliant with the children.

Dr Yuen was very kind and friendly and listened to all points we made. He also gave very thorough and detailed explanations and made us feel at ease during the appointment, he was also quite humerous which helped to make us feel relaxed. First rate doctor.

My 6 yr old daughter was referred to Dr yuen after the nursing staff on the peadiatric outpatients department failed on many occassions to take blood. My daughter was completley traumatised by the events and I refused to let her have any more blood taken so my GP referred her to Dr Yuen to see if it was necessary.
Dr Yuen made us feel very comfortable from the start. He was very kind and had an excellent manor with my daughter. Dr yuen gave us more information in 10 minutes than I had recieved in the whole 6mths of going back and forth to the GP and the hospital. He completley reassured me and my partner and he made my daughter feel completley at ease as she is now petrified of hospitals and Dr's. He listened to our concerns and he was very supportive.
The experience of seeing Dr Yuen has made my daughter feel more comfortable with hospitals and Dr's and he has put mine and my partners minds at ease.
I would 100% recomend Dr Yuen to any one.

I have had several appts with Dr.Yuen. He is a great Dr. Please do not let my 90% trust put you off, it is not a reflection on him its the fact i dont trust anyone fully regarding health as its complexed, i think anyone expecting a dr to get it on the money a 100% straight away and all of the time is naive. I found Dr .Yuen to be a friendly Dr, and when he gave his opinion and i still didnt feel comfortable he went out of his way to offer me soloutions to help. I have no crticisms about Dr.Yuen, he was very considerate and mindful of my fears as i previously lost a child to cot death. I find him to be straight to the point, with clear communication. I am happy that my baby boy is under him and i feel he is in the safest of hands. If all drs were like him the NHS would be a better place.

Dr yuen is a great doctor he listens to whatever you say and tries to do his best for everyone.

I am a consultant paediatrician who is passionate about delivering high quality care for patients and improving services & lives for children and families. I have postgraduate diplomas in medical education & healthcare leadership and a completed a one year fellowship in quality improvement with the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement.
Whilst I am based in Chesterfield Royal Hospital, I have a regional role safeguarding children.
My current focus is to co-produce a whole system, multi-agency Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder pathway across Derbyshire.
